Swim INstructor

Genna Aho

Genna grew up in sunny Tucson, Arizona, and enjoyed many summers by the pool, by the lake with family, or at the river with friends. As an Arizonan, it was common to hear about water safety during the summers and she understood that it was an integral component of the safety precautions that families must take. Genna's older brother became a firefighter, and through his stories of rescues at the poolside, it became very clear that water safety was something she felt compelled to share with those close with her. Always an advocate for taking precautions against accidents, she wanted to do more than just create changes to her friend's and family's water-side behavior, and decided to help bring changes to the larger community.

Genna became a certified ISR instructor in 2016 and has been training children with the swim survival skills they need to stay safe in any water environment. She doesn't consider ISR training a "job", because she gets to know each family as if they're an extended part of her own family. Bringing the love of water to kids of all ages is a dream for Genna and she'd love to get to know you and your family!
